The PhD in Human and Social Sciences promotes an inter-, multi-, and trans-disciplinary education that embraces epistemological, psychological, pedagogical, philosophical, anthropological, geographical, political, sociological, and historical topics.
Among the courses offered, the focus will be on epistemologies of the human and social sciences, foundations of research ethics, research methodologies and methods applied to research, the study of cultural context, and lineaments of global history.
The specific courses will be complemented by laboratory activities, which may be organized together with other doctoral courses, involving the active participation of doctoral students on the topics of literature review, scientific writing and dissemination, research methodology, informatics and language improvement, research management and knowledge of European and international research systems.
